Due to repairs being made, there will be no live programming Friday morning.
As many of you know, the WHEE transmitter encountered multiple component failures just after sign-on Monday morning. Our engineer made the necessary repairs and returned us to air at 3:02 PM Monday afternoon. An hour and a half later the transmitter had shut off once again due to additional component failure. Tuesday, the new damage was assessed and parts had to be ordered as we had exhausted our backup supply. Delivery arrived Wednesday evening and our engineer has been onsite all day trying to get us back on the air. The problem has been determined to be far more extensive than what was initially thought. We have had to order more replacements from multiple sources and have been promised delivery no later than Saturday morning. Our engineer will be on site as soon as the parts arrive and try to get us back on the air for our weekend programming. Due to our programming commitments, beginning tomorrow morning at 6 AM, WMVA will begin carrying some of WHEE's programming. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
