The Harvest Foundation has put up $3.1 million dollars to pay for textbooks, fees, and tuition for students to get an associate’s degree at Patrick Henry Community College. 131 applications have been received, but Vice President Greg Hodges told the Martinsville City School Board that only 15 of them are from Martinsville. No thoughts were offered as to why so few have taken advantage of the opportunity.

Is this saying only 15 are from MHS or 15 are from Martinsville/Henry County area?

  • I take it as only 15 from the city of Martinsville applied. Guess the remainder were from Henry County and surrounding areas.

  • 15 from Martinsville. More specifically - Martinsville High School.
