Patrick County Hospital Closes
« on: September 17, 2017, 11:07:04 AM »
The only hospital in Patrick County has started closing down. Pioneer Hospital filed for bankruptcy last year and announced last week they would be clsoing down the hospital in Stuart. Patrick County is also one of 58 counties in virginia that will not have an option for insurance as no insurance carriers are currently serving these areas under Obamacare. Anyone with an emergency room type isue will either have to be transported to Martinsville or to the hospital in Surry County, North Carolina. Tough times for the good people in Patrick County.
