  • UVA beat Syracuse at home erasing bad memories of 2 recent collapses against the Orangemen. NC State has been a giant killer this year, beating two #2 ranked teams (Duke and Arizona), so the Hoos better be ready Sat, while they are at home.

  • Arizona was early in the season, and Duke is playing some of their worst January basketball I can remember. NC State's style is a lot like Virginia Tech. They fall apart when they play a slow zone. Case in point - the game before Duke when NC State played Notre Dame (who plays a lot like UVA). ND beat NC State by 30 points - very similar game all the way around to UVA vs Virginia Tech.

  • Hoos are very well coached and I think the Wolfpack's wild run will be coming to an end Sunday. Too much good luck.

My Hokies are finally getting it together. Back to back wins in the ACC vs Pitt and then on the road last night vs Wake Forest. I am seeing some light now!

  • NC State beat another top 20 team tonight, taking down Clemson at home. In the last 30 seconds both teams made their best effort to give the game away to the opposition, but State prevailed when Clemson guard, Gabe DeVoe, missed the third free throw after being fouled by State with 2 seconds left. He made the first two before State took a time out to disrupt his rhythm. State won 78-77.

  • the ACC road record so far is 7 - 51. No ACC team currently has more than 1 road win in conference play. the next week or 2 will separate the contenders from pretenders and the cream will rise.  UVA, UNC, Miami and Duke will probably lead the way. good games to watch this weekend should be Miami going to Clemson and UNC goes to Notre Dame. Not sure UVA has been tested yet with 4 of their 5 conf. games being at home.

Thats incorrect by a long shot.

The overall total losses of the ACC is 69 and 29 are in conference losses. Not off to a banner in nationally for the conference by any means! But the top are strong.

  • you need to double check that, Common.
i'm only referring to conference play, not the entire schedule.
58 conference games have been played so far this season, only 7 have been won on the road in the ACC.

  • WOW, UNC survived a scare and got a much needed road win at Notre Dame. Syracuse took FSU to OT only to lose by 11. Duke and UVA cruised to win their games but Duke is on the road tonight at Miami 7pm. This should be a good one, Miami should give Duke all it can handle. On Tuesday Clemson plays UNC with a chance to get their first win ever in Chapel Hill. Which Tar Heel team will show? will they make it 0-59 for Clemson?
