More like a painting than a photo; my instant reaction was to think of van Gogh's The Cafe Terrace with the heavy emphasis on yellows, but I quickly realized that was way off given the time element. He portrays artificial light at night and this is natural light distorted at mid-day. Then I thought of David Hockney. I had a poster reproduction by him many years ago that combined photographic realism with color saturation. Definitely, more like that Hockney, but better.
