Hillary was just a bad choice for President.

But keeping it at home in Virginia, where all politics is local:

Ralph was a great choice. And as its obvious...the BLOWOUT was a part of the Trump-effect.

2
And the management of the economy is working great, and I'm happy to see how he hasn't cut back on the progress President Obama started back in 2009.

And you again evade the point and the crisis of our nation.

As a citizen of Virginia, the fact that are the ones the Virginia Democrats used to run and WIN in BLOWOUT fashion here in Virginia. And the last recounts are underway to see how the outcome of this upset of the lifetime in the House of Delegates.

Another and another and another....

I swear the number of Congressmen and public leaders who have been accused of sexual assault and misconduct are gaining. Before too long, they will be more of them accused of this vile misconduct than we have public shootings. I hate to say that but its the sad reality.

Trump and "coward" are now synonyms.

He needs to grow up, learn how to lead, and act his age rather than his glove size. Actually, a more fitting euphemism would be that he needs to "act his belt size" rather than his shoe size.

I just figured that guy has been SO CLOSE the title!

He tied it with Tony Stewart a few years back but the tie went to Tony as he had another win during the regular season.

Then last year he was one of the final 4 drivers in the running at Homestead.

He's got to be yearning to win the title and now there are more teams with great equipment and crews.

If indeed Moore did these things - he needs to be punished severely.

Yes, he should. But the problem may be that its not surfacing publicly many years later. He should drop out and face private suits.

Instead, he's being cheered on by a President and this executive staff who are guilty of such offenses. Its now to the voter's to decide.

BE GONE OFFENDERS, SEXUAL ASSAULT PERPETRATORS, RAPISTS AND PEDOPHILES!

Be gone Donald. Be gone Al. Be gone Roy Moore.

We are better than this; and we should be led by those who do not encumber those values.

that was a fun race. glad truex pulled it out. maybe they will reconsider shuttering the #77 since the 78 won the championship with a 2-car team. there are a lot of talented drivers out there without rides.

Carl Edwards comes to mind!

Sports / Re: ESPN TO CUT $80 MILLION IN SALARIES IN UPCOMING LAYOFFS
« on: November 21, 2017, 06:17:24 PM »
They've been laying off for a couple years now. Has nothing to do with politics. The thing thats killing ESPN is the fact that NBC and FOX have launched their own sports channels and they have bid on the big games. And gotten them!

NBC Sports covered 1/3 of the NASCAR races and a host of NFL games.

FS1 (Fox Sports) has been covering several D1 college conferences. And they have their own XM radio station. Add to that they have poached a lot of the ESPN hosts to compete; Skip Bayless being one and he has his own prime-time show now.

Barstool Sports has blown up on social media and is now getting their own XM station launching in the new year.

ESPN's problem is the market is blown up and other stations can pay more than personalities and commentary.

I'm old school. Christmas comes after Thanksgiving. Including parades. I'll go to the Bassett Christmas Parade.

I agree wholeheartedly. But I ain't going to anything Christmas-fested until after I eat that turkey!

AC/DC was never the same after Bon Scott died
RIP Malcom

AC/DC is probably always going to be the best hard rock band ever. But it wasn't the same after Bon Scott, and now with some added stress to Angus's state I have to wonder if they'll hang it all up.

That was a hell of a win. Sluggish and sloppy most of the day. I was also convinced that Pitt was gonna put it in there for the win in the final seconds.

But REAL MEAN WIN ON THE GOAL LINE!!!

4 downs. Less than 1 yard to the endzone.

And not an inch earned. Hokies take the win at home on a good senior day with a big sack on the goalline by Senior captain Andrew Motuapuaka. Hell of a stop!

Now on to play the boys in blue from Hooville. Should be a good game, solid matchup. Hoping that some of our injuries can heal so we can BEAT UVA FOR THE 14TH YEAR IN A ROW!

GO HOKIES!

Politics / Re: Senator Al Franken Apologizes To Woman For Sexual Abuse

Some in the left wing media are defending Franken.  Surprise, surprise!!!

On MSNBC tonight.

https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/scott-whitlock/2017/11/16/not-believing-victim-kasie-hunt-frankens-action-not-actually

There is our little forum nuisance gopher here for his weekly check in! Actually, instead of spouting someone else's talking point you could see that Al Franken is getting deservedly bashed senseless by MSNBC and Mika on Morning Joe as we speak. As I, and Solon have said, he should resign. His time in this forum of public service should be done.

Still waiting for the Donald to speak about the man (using that word loosely with this character) to speak out AGAINST ROY MOORE. Sexual abuse and assault should not be tolerated by anyone in public service.

General Discussion / Re: Podcasts

3 potcasts I listen to on the regular are:

1- the MC Sports report. 2 sports radio journalists based out of Hopewell, Virginia.
2- the Economist. Recently, the day after my birthday, they had a good cast called "Money Talks: Can You Say CTPT".
3- and a big ole "hell yeah!" for the Stone Cold Podcast! My favorite of all time in the ring and on the mic, and he delivers it real and uncut on his podcasts.
